How do we define luxury?
Think about it… the world has never been busier. We’ve never had more demands made on our attention. Nowadays, the true scarce commodity is being able to sit, in peace with our surroundings, and revel in the silence. That’s luxury. For me, I look for four simple things that define it:
light
space
quiet
time
“Of course, in Montana we are fortunate to have an abundance of the things I look for when defining luxury. In fact, we’re known for them across the country; for our free lifestyle, our awe-inspiring mountains, our clean air and pristine water in a vast, endless abandon— ”
You don’t head to Montana for the hustle and bustle of a great American city. You come here with an intention to feel the power of a pristine place, and the power of this place truly embraces it’s nickname “The Last Best Place.”
Montana is raw, Montana is real.
This is how we, at Headwaters, define luxury. You will find a touch of it in all of our signature stays and experiences. The best thing about luxury for me is that you don’t have to go high-end to find it. Immerse yourself, there are hideaways with cutting-edge design but without electricity. Cabins with hotel comforts in the middle of the woods, old ranches disconnected from everything, all beneath our big Montana sky.
Disconnecting is the purest way to fully connect with the land, with friends and family, and to reconnect with yourself. The vitality brought by vast empty land, the re-energizing power of the silent wilderness, these are the scarcities of our world. To us at Headwaters, this is what defines luxury.
